Creating reusable Templates (playbooks)
Build templates you can reuse across many brands.
Templates are your reusable pitch playbooks. Write a pitch once, save it as a template, and reuse it across every contact — with variables that personalize each send automatically. A template can be a single email or a multi-step sequence with follow-ups.
Create a template
- Open Templates from the side navigation.
- Click New Template in the top right (or Create your first template if your list is empty).
- You land straight in the editor. Click the template name at the top to rename it.
- Fill in the Subject line and write your email in the body of Step 1 · Initial Email.
There is no Save button — the editor saves on its own as you type. Watch the status next to the name change from Saving to Saved.
Personalize with variables
To make one template work for everyone, drop in variables instead of typing names. Click the @ button on the subject line, or type @ directly in the body, to insert a merge tag like First Name or Brand Name. Each send swaps in the contact's real details. See using variables & merge tags for the full list.
Preview, follow-ups, and attachments
Click Preview in the header to see your template rendered against a real contact, so you can check exactly how the variables fill in. To add steps, use Add Follow-up — you can build up to four steps in one sequence. See building multi-step sequences with delays. You can also attach files to any step with Attach files (up to five per step).
Manage your templates
Back on the Templates list, each card shows the template name and its step count. Use the three-dot menu to Rename, Duplicate, or Delete a template. Every plan — Starter, Outreach Plus, and Agency — includes unlimited templates.
Tip: Once a template is saved, you can drop it into any email from the compose window's templates menu — it fills the subject and body for you.
