Why aren’t my emails sending?

The most common reasons emails stall, and how to get them moving.

If your queue isn't moving, don't worry — it's almost always one of a few simple causes. Outreach only sends when everything's in order: a connected email, sending switched on, room under your daily limit, and an active subscription. Here's how to check each one.

1. Your email isn't connected

This is the most common cause. Outreach can't send anything without a connected mailbox. Look for an orange banner reading "Connect your email to start sending pitches" with a Connect now link, or check the On / Off toggle on the Outreach page — if it's grayed out, your email isn't connected. Connect it and the toggle comes alive. See connecting or reconnecting your email.

2. Outreach is paused

If the big toggle on the Outreach page is set to Off (and the subtitle says "Outreach is paused"), nothing will send. Flip it back to On. See pausing & resuming outreach.

3. You've hit your daily limit or you're outside your send window

Emails only send on your chosen sending days, inside your send window, and up to your daily limit. If you've already hit the limit for today, the rest wait until tomorrow. If it's outside your start/end times, they wait for the next open window. Review these under your daily send limit & schedule. Need one to go out right now? Open the step and click Send now.

4. There's a billing issue

If a payment fails, your account is paused and sending stops. You'll see a "Your last payment failed" screen — your contacts, queued follow-ups, and settings are all safe. Click Update payment method to reactivate, and sending resumes.

5. Autopilot paused itself

If you're on Autopilot with a template, a problem with that template (deleted, empty, or missing a subject) can pause it. You'll see an amber banner at the top of the queue explaining what's wrong with a Fix in settings button.

Tip: Still stuck? Ask AriAri to check your queue and activity — it can often spot what's holding things up.
