Why PitchBrand needs your email connected

Why you connect your own inbox, what we can and can’t do with it, and how it stays secure.

PitchBrand sends and tracks your outreach through your own email account, so connecting it is what makes everything work. Here is exactly why, and how your access is handled.

What connecting unlocks

As the Mailbox settings put it, you connect your email to start sending outreach through PitchBrand. Specifically, it lets the app:

  • Send your pitches and follow-ups on your behalf, from your real address, so brands recognize who you are.
  • Sync your replies back into the app to track conversations — this is how follow-ups stop the moment a brand writes back, and how replies appear in your Inbox.

How your access is secured

For Gmail and Outlook, PitchBrand uses OAuth — the same secure sign-in you already use for Google and Microsoft. You sign in once and you are set; there is no app password to manage. Other providers connect over IMAP. PitchBrand connects to your email provider securely to send emails and sync replies.

What happens if you do not connect

Without a connected inbox, your pitches cannot send and replies will not sync. You can still browse brands, build audiences, and edit pitches, but the outreach queue needs a connected email to deliver anything. You can connect anytime from Settings > Mailbox — see Connecting your email for the steps.

Can I disconnect later?

Yes. Open Settings > Mailbox and press Disconnect on your connected account at any time. You can reconnect or switch to a different account whenever you like.
